In Kharkiv, a Russian drone attack damaged civilian infrastructure, including apartment buildings and a medical facility. Dozens of people were injured due to the strike, according to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov shared preliminary information about the consequences of the drone attack on the city via his channel.

According to him, a total of 16 strikes were recorded. The kamikaze drone attacks damaged apartment buildings and private homes, as well as a medical facility and civilian infrastructure.

The number of people injured in the massive drone strike on Kharkiv continues to rise. As of 11:40 PM Kyiv time, Terekhov reported that the number of injured had reached 30.

However, at 11:44 PM Kyiv time, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Synehubov reported that 27 people had been injured in the city at that time.

“Three of the wounded were taken to hospitals, where they are receiving emergency medical care. Others received first aid on the spot,” he said.

Terekhov also confirmed that a Russian UAV struck an apartment building in the Slobidskyi district.

In addition to that, there were reports of drone strikes in three other districts of Kharkiv - Shevchenkivskyi, Kyivskyi, and Saltivskyi.

Two city hospitals damaged in Kharkiv drone attack

Head of the Department for Combating Crimes Committed in Armed Conflict Conditions, Spartak Borysenko, reported that Russian forces used Geran-2 drones in the attack.

Civilian infrastructure across four city districts - Slobidskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Kyivskyi, Saltivskyi, and Nemishlyanskyi - came under fire.

According to Borysenko, 30 civilians, including a 16-year-old child, received medical assistance.

Updated: Number of injured in Kharkiv rises

Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov reported at 00:21 AM Kyiv time that the number of people injured in the drone attack had increased to 39.

According to the officials, the drone attack in Kharkiv injured a 5-year-old girl, a 16-year-old boy, and a 24-year-old pregnant woman.

He reported that the total number of injured has risen to 38, with four people currently hospitalized in Kharkiv.

As reported earlier, explosions were heard in Kharkiv on the evening of April 29 due to a drone attack. Local authorities confirmed direct hits and casualties.

In addition, the city of Dnipro also came under a massive drone attack that evening. A series of explosions was heard, one person was reported killed, and fires broke out as a result of the strikes.
