Macron: It is unreasonable to expect Zelenskyy to agree to ceasefire while Kyiv being bombed

In the context of Russian strikes on Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy cannot be expected to agree to a ceasefire with Russia, states French President Emmanuel Macron, according to Sky News and BFMTV.
Macron expressed support for Ukraine in the wake of Russia's massive strike on civilian infrastructure on the night of April 24.
According to the French leader, it is unreasonable to expect Zelenskyy to agree to a ceasefire with Russia while Russian missiles and drones are attacking the Ukrainian capital.
He also emphasized that the anger of the US "should be directed only at the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin."
"There is an aggressor, Russia, and a victim, Ukraine... France's position remains unchanged. We stand for sovereignty and territorial integrity, adhering to international law. We will continue to defend the right of the Ukrainian people to live in peace on their territory and within their internationally recognized borders," Macron added.
