Russia shelled Lviv overnight on July 12. As a result of the enemy strike, three buildings of Lviv Polytechnic were damaged, according to the Telegram channel of Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi.

"Forty-six buildings were damaged, with more than 500 windows shattered. Fifteen apartments are uninhabitable—28 residents have been offered temporary free accommodation in a hotel. Three buildings of Lviv Polytechnic, city courts, and more than 20 small and medium-sized business premises were also damaged," the mayor stated.

According to the university's rector, Natalya Shakhovska, the most severely affected was Building No. 5 on 30 Stepan Bandera Street, where 100 windows were shattered.

Shelling of Lviv on July 12

In the early hours of July 12, Russian forces shelled Lviv using kamikaze drones and missiles.

Initial reports stated that residential buildings were damaged on Mytropolyta Andreia Street and Olena Stepanivna Street. In the Zaliznychnyi district, the roof of a non-residential building caught fire, several more buildings were damaged, including a kindergarten.

As of 10 a.m., six people were reported injured, including a child. Five of the injured, including the child, received medical assistance on the spot. One man was hospitalized.

According to updated information, the nighttime attack damaged 51 buildings, 19 cars, 19 business facilities, and 2 industrial sites in Lviv.
