Luhansk region under drone control, Ukrainian unit makes bold statement

The Third Army Corps carried out a series of strikes against Russian military logistics in the temporarily occupied part of the Luhansk region. The operation covered areas reaching as far as the Izvaryne checkpoint.
The corps stated that an operation to control logistics routes in Luhansk and Eastern Slobozhanshchyna has begun.
According to the military, drones operated at distances exceeding 205 kilometers deep into enemy-controlled territory. One of the most distant targets was the area of the Izvaryne checkpoint on the border with Russia.
During the operation, Ukrainian forces struck enemy armored vehicles and ammunition depots.

The commander of the Third Army Corps, Brigadier General Andrii Biletskyi, said the operation was a response to Russian claims of the alleged full capture of the Luhansk region.
"In response to enemy statements about the full capture of Luhansk region, we announce an operation to control logistics routes in Luhansk and Eastern Slobozhanshchyna. Luhansk, Starobilsk, Alchevsk, Brianka, Kadiivka — are now under UAV control of the Third Army Corps," he said.
The corps also reported that the operation was planned and led by a UAV strike platoon commander with the callsign "Skhid," a native of the Luhansk region and a Hero of Ukraine.
According to the military, in 2022 he was deployed into encircled Mariupol and, after the end of the city’s defense, independently returned to Ukrainian-controlled territory, for which he received the highest state award.
In addition, at the end of May, Ukrainian Air Force carried out a missile strike using Storm Shadow cruise missiles on a Russian command post and communications hub in the temporarily occupied part of the Luhansk region.
The General Staff reported that the target was successfully hit.
