Lublin Triangle agrees on a presidential-level meeting in Kyiv

The foreign ministers of the Lublin Triangle member states (Ukraine, Lithuania, and Poland) met in Lublin on July 16. The foreign ministers agreed to organize a meeting of the presidents in Kyiv, according to a joint statement from the foreign ministers of the Lublin Triangle.
The foreign ministers of Ukraine, Lithuania, and Poland — Andrii Sybiha, Kęstutis Budrys, and Radosław Sikorski — met in Lublin to mark the fifth anniversary of the Lublin Triangle format and to discuss further cooperation.
During the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to facilitate the next meeting of the presidents of Ukraine, Lithuania, and Poland in Kyiv. They also agreed to hold the next meeting of foreign ministers in Lithuania by the end of 2025.
If the three presidents meet, Poland will likely be represented by the new president, Karol Nawrocki, who is set to take office in early August.
Lublin Triangle
The Lublin Triangle was established in 2020 as a trilateral cooperation format between Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine aimed at deepening regional collaboration in security, economic, and socio-humanitarian spheres.
In 2023, in Lviv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the presidents of Poland and Lithuania, Andrzej Duda and Gitanas Nausėda.
The leaders of the three countries signed a joint declaration of the presidents of the Lublin Triangle.
