On Wednesday, November 1, a loud explosion occurred in the temporarily occupied Mariupol, which was heard by all districts of the city. The invaders raised aircraft into the sky, according to the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andriushchenko.

"In Mariupol, a loud explosion was heard by all districts of the city. The source of the explosion was a Russian anti-aircraft missile near Azovstal," he wrote.

According to the mayor's adviser, Russian aviation is nervous together with the air defense.

"At the same time, a smoke mask similar to the Crimean one was activated in the Mariupol port," Andriushchenko added.

An interesting point

As he notes, the presence of a naval-class enemy ship in port adds "piquancy and interest" to the situation.

The situation in Mariupol

Russian troops are forming operational and technical depots in Mariupol and the region. For this, the invaders use hangars, garages, and former granaries. In addition, the Russian invaders probably feel the lack of manpower on the front line, so they withdraw trucks with military personnel from Mariupol.

Earlier, Russia transferred about 5,000 new reserves to the temporarily occupied Mariupol and the region. As Petro Andriushchenko, adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, previously noted, the last such introduction of new reserves in Mariupol was recorded in April 2023.
