Lithuanian Foreign Minister says Zelenskyy's victory plan is quite realistic and feasible
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis expressed confidence that the victory plan proposed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is entirely realistic and achievable, citing the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Landsbergis emphasized that Lithuania and Latvia share a common goal: Ukraine’s victory.
"We all acknowledge that Ukraine must win — there is no other option. Russia will not stop until it is stopped," the Lithuanian foreign minister said.
He also expressed confidence that President Zelenskyy's plan could be implemented.
"We can increase arms supplies, lift restrictions, and provide security guarantees to prevent another Russian invasion. It's up to us whether we make this happen. If we choose a plan different from Zelenskyy's, we will deeply regret it later," the minister said.
Victory plan
Zelenskyy's victory plan includes five key points: Ukraine’s invitation to NATO, deterring Russian aggression, defense cooperation, economic development, and a post-war security architecture.
The document also emphasizes the need to shift the war onto Russian territory and lift restrictions on strikes against Russian targets, while urging the West to shoot down Russian missiles and drones over Ukraine.
On October 17, Zelenskyy visited Brussels to present the victory plan. According to him, most European leaders supported the Ukrainian plan.
The victory plan also includes a swift invitation for Ukraine to join NATO. The US has said that reforms are needed for Ukraine's membership in the Alliance.
