Lithuania delivers new batch of military aid to Ukraine
On Thursday, August 15, Lithuania delivered a new batch of military aid to Ukraine, according to the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.
According to the department, Ukraine received loaders, trailers, and folding beds for the Ukrainian army from Lithuania.
They also added that as part of the new aid package, throughout August, Ukraine will receive from Lithuania:
- 14 M113 armored personnel carriers
- Short-range air defense launchers with missiles
- Drone countermeasure systems
- Individual anti-drone jammers
- All-terrain vehicles with spare parts
- Rifles
- Ammunition
- Smoke grenades
According to the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Lithuania has provided military aid to Ukraine amounting to over €641 million. Overall support for Ukraine has exceeded €1 billion.
Aid to Ukraine from Lithuania
Recently, Lithuania announced a "significant" military aid package for Ukraine, which will include, among other things, short-range air defense systems, armored personnel carriers, and drone countermeasures.
In June, Lithuania provided Ukraine with 14 M113 armored personnel carriers as part of a coalition for demining.
In April, Lithuania delivered M577 armored personnel carriers, air defense systems, ammunition, and other military equipment and supplies to Ukraine.
