Like iPhone: Google preparing battery-related update for Android
Google is developing an update for Android smartphones that will allow users to get accurate battery status data, according to the online agency on Android and technology, Android Authority.
Assessing the current state of the device's battery poses specific difficulties. To accomplish this task, users often resort to using third-party applications, but they do not always provide accurate data. The most effective tool for this purpose would be system analysis.
Google knows this aspect and has long been developing a battery health-tracking feature. Android 14 introduced a foundation for monitoring battery operation, where the operating system collects extensive statistics on its functioning from the moment the device is first turned on.
It is expected that with the release of Android 15, users will be able to access this information, and the system will even warn when it's time to replace the battery.
Battery status menu
The hidden "Battery Health" menu indicates such a feature's presence, which developers discovered in Android 14 QPR2 Beta 2. Currently, it does not contain specific information, but the code suggests that in this tab, users will see the current battery charge level as a percentage of its new condition.

For example, if the battery health in Pixel 8 is estimated at 90 percent, then the remaining charge capacity is 4,118 mAh (compared to the device's nominal capacity of 4,575 mAh).
