Lavrov says Russia open to concessions on Ukraine, but Zaporizhzhia NPP is non-negotiable

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says Russia is open to seeking a "balance of interests" in Ukraine-related issues. However, Moscow also indicated that it has no intention of handing over the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant to Ukraine, reports the Russian news agency TASS.
Lavrov denied claims that Russia is unwilling to make any concessions regarding Ukraine. Instead, he stated that Moscow is open to finding a "balance of interests."
However, when discussing the Zaporizhzhia NPP, he emphasized that Russia would explain to the US, if necessary, that the plant is in reliable hands and that any changes in its control are impossible.
Peace plan for Ukraine
Recently, Reuters published a detailed description of Donald Trump's plan to resolve the war in Ukraine.
The plan raised several controversial issues. In particular, it suggested that the US would de jure recognize Russian control over Crimea.
However, according to the plan, Ukraine would regain control of the Zaporizhzhia NPP through US oversight and management of the plant.
Later, US President Donald Trump criticized a New York Times journalist for the article. He stated that the journalist followed the editor's demands, writing a piece that included claims regarding Ukrainian territories.
