Lavrov reveals if Russia will halt war during talks with Ukraine

Russia will not halt fire to hold negotiations on ending the war in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said during a UN Security Council meeting.
"We will not pause the special military operation for the duration of negotiations, regardless of the format. Although Europe wants exactly that," he said.
Lavrov said the EU wants to "buy time and replenish the depleted military arsenals of the Kyiv regime."
Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said today that Russia has expressed interest in a ceasefire with Ukraine that would include a limited halt to mutual strikes on energy infrastructure.
Meanwhile, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine is ready for an energy ceasefire with Russia. According to him, Kyiv is ready to stop striking Russian energy facilities if Russia halts its attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
In addition, Zelenskyy expressed hope that, with the help of US President Donald Trump, the war in Ukraine can be brought to an end by winter.
