On the night of November 14, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Kyiv using drones and missiles. As a result of the enemy strike, high-rise buildings in the capital are on fire, and casualties have already been reported, according to the Telegram channels of Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko and Kyiv City Military Administration Head Tymur Tkachenko.

Weapons used by the Russian forces

According to Klitschko and Tkachenko, the effects of the enemy attack are currently being recorded in at least the Dniprovskyi, Darnytskyi, Podilskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Solomianskyi districts.

Dniprovskyi district

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration reported that, according to preliminary data, a drone hit a residential building in the Dniprovskyi district. At the same time, Klitschko noted that debris struck a five-story building.

“In the Dniprovskyi district, there is a fire in a multi-story residential building. Emergency services are on their way,” Klitschko added at 01:25 Kyiv time.

“In the Dniprovskyi district, where debris struck a five-story residential building, there is damage on one of the lower floors, and two apartments are on fire. Nine people have been evacuated from the building. All emergency services are working on-site,” Klitschko wrote at that moment.

As of 02:50, it is known that in this district, three multi-apartment residential buildings and a private estate were damaged, and a fire broke out in an open area.

Darnytskyi district

Initially, reports indicated that a car had fallen in the Darnytskyi district. Later, it became known that debris had fallen on school grounds and in the courtyard of a residential building.

As of 01:36 Kyiv time, it is known that at least two multi-story buildings were hit in the Darnytskyi district.

In the Darnytskyi District, as of 02:50, debris fell into the courtyard of a residential building and on the grounds of an educational institution. In addition, a car caught fire as a result of the falling debris.

Podilskyi district

“In the Podilskyi district, there is a fire in a multi-story residential building,” Klitschko reported at 01:09 Kyiv time.

Some time later, he added that in the Podilskyi district, another multi-story building caught fire, approximately on the 12th floor.

Casualties

So far, it is known that medical teams were called to at least the Shevchenkivskyi, Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi, Solomianskyi, and Desnianskyi districts.
