Rescuers continue eliminating the aftermath of Russia's overnight strike on Kyiv. Nearly all fires have been extinguished, according to Ukraine's State Emergency Service.

"The SES has completed the main work in responding to the overnight strike. All fires have been extinguished except one, at warehouses in the Obolon district. There, 29 firefighters and 8 units of equipment are still working," the rescuers said.

The State Emergency Service also reported the following consequences of the attack on Kyiv:

  • 1 person killed;

  • 4 injured;

  • Damage was recorded in 7 districts of the capital.

A total of 440 rescuers and 100 pieces of equipment were involved in the response efforts.

About the Kyiv attack

On the night of June 10, the Russian army launched a drone and missile strike against Ukraine.

Most of the drones and all the missiles were targeted at Kyiv. Explosions were heard across various districts of the capital.

Notably, a major fire broke out in the Obolon district.
