Kyiv strike aftermath: Authorities deploy aviation to eliminate consequences

A large number of rescue vehicles have been deployed in Kyiv to eliminate the consequences of the recent strike. Aviation is also involved, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.
"Two helicopters from the State Emergency Service are being used to extinguish the fires," Klymenko said from the site of the destroyed residential building in Kyiv.
The Minister added that around dozens of units of equipment have been deployed in Kyiv. "This includes both medical and rescue equipment," Klymenko stated.
The high-ranking official also said that additional emergency units from the region are now arriving in Kyiv.
"Aviation is also actively working throughout the city of Kyiv. Our robotic UAV emergency service units have been deployed as well," said Andriy Danyk, Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Strike on Kyiv
Russian forces launched a missile and drone strike on Kyiv during the night of June 17. At this time, 14 dead victims have been reported, but the exact number remains unclear, as rescuers continue working on-site.
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the number of injured continues to grow. Currently, 55 people have been reported injured, with over 40 taken to medical facilities in the city.
In the Solomianskyi district, a Russian ballistic missile struck a multi-story residential building, reportedly piercing all nine floors from top to bottom.
Overall, the aftermath of the attack has been recorded at 12 locations across the Solomianskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi, Podilskyi, and Obolonskyi districts.
Emergency response centers have been set up in Solomianskyi and Darnytskyi districts to assist everyone affected by the enemy's massive strike on the capital.
