Kyiv missile strike: 99 injured, at least 5 missing

In Kyiv, from under the rubble of a residential building destroyed as a result of a missile strike by the Russian Federation on June 17, rescuers pulled out another person. The number of injured is increasing, with at least five considered missing, according to Ihor Klymenko, Minister of Internal Affairs, and Tymur Tkachenko, Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.
Klymenko stated that the rescuers of the State Emergency Service (DSNS) unblocked another person from the high-rise building in Kyiv destroyed by a Russian missile. Search and rescue operations continue. There is information about at least 5 missing residents of the building. They are not in contact with their relatives.
According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, it is currently confirmed that 99 people were injured as a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv. Among them, 59 were hospitalized.
"At the same time, information is coming in that already 104 injured have been recorded. We are verifying," writes Tkachenko.
He added that rescue operations are still ongoing at the sites, and people continue to ask for help. The number of injured may increase.
"As for the dead – as of now, 14, but the clearing of the rubble continues, particularly at the site of the apartment entrance destroyed by the Russians in the Solomianskyi district," added Tkachenko.

Today, Russian troops carried out a massive shelling of Kyiv using missiles and drones. Initially, reports indicated destruction at 12 locations; however, Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko later clarified that strikes were recorded at 27 locations.
One of the strongest strikes hit a nine-story building in the Solomianskyi district – the enemy struck with a ballistic missile.
During the attack, power went out in two districts of the capital–Mayor Vitali Klitschko explained that this happened due to the activation of the automatic protection system.
In addition, Klitschko confirmed that among the dead is a US citizen.
