Kyiv announces leadership team for US-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund

The Cabinet of Ministers has delegated representatives to the governing council of the US-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported.
According to Svyrydenko, the Ukrainian side will be represented by Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Oleksii Sobolev, Deputy Minister Yehor Perelygin, and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleksandr Karasevych.
"All of them are professional managers with experience in attracting investments, negotiating with partners, strategic planning, and expertise in the field of subsoil," the Prime Minister noted.
She added that the first meeting of the Council is scheduled for September 3. At this meeting, the fund's council is to determine the principles for project selection and other operational procedures.
Reconstruction Investment Fund
On May 1, Ukraine and the United States signed an agreement on the establishment of the US-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund. After that, on May 8, the Verkhovna Rada ratified the intergovernmental agreement.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the law on May 12, completing the ratification process.
The remaining agreements will be of a commercial nature and will be signed not by the government.
Also in May, Ukraine and the United States launched a joint fund for the reconstruction of our country. The parties will invest in joint projects in Ukraine, including the extraction of critical minerals.
