In Kyiv, as a result of the nighttime drone strike, destruction and fires were recorded in three districts of the city. Seven people have already been reported to be injured, including children, according to the State Emergency Service.

Emergency services reported that fires and destruction occurred in the Obolonskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the capital. The fires, which broke out as a result of another Russian airstrike on the capital, have already been extinguished.

"Overall, seven people were injured in the drone attack, including two children. The information regarding the victims is being clarified," the service reported.

The State Emergency Service provided the available information on the consequences of the drone strike on Kyiv on the night of May 4 and showed footage.

Obolonskyi district

A fire broke out in an apartment on the top floor of a 12-story building, and the flames spread to the roof. The roof's ceiling was also partially destroyed.

"At another location, seven cars caught fire near a residential building," emergency services added.

Sviatoshynskyi district

In the Sviatoshynskyi district, a fire occurred in three single-story private houses.

Shevchenkivskyi district

According to the State Emergency Service, in Shevchenkivskyi district, a tree caught fire, and an electricity pole as well as the road surface under a railway bridge were damaged.

"At the sites, 76 firefighters and 14 units of firefighting and rescue equipment were working," the State Emergency Service added.

Night drone attack on Kyiv

In the evening, against the backdrop of the threat of drone strikes, air alerts were declared in several regions of Ukraine.

During the night, explosions were heard in Kyiv as Russians attacked the capital with UAVs. There were also reports of air defense systems operating in Kyiv.

Later, local authorities reported that fires broke out in different districts of Kyiv due to debris from downed UAVs. Fires were also recorded in residential buildings.

Among the injured in Kyiv, there are children. According to the mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko, four residents of Kyiv sought medical help: three in the Sviatoshynskyi district and one person in the Obolonskyi district.
