In Kyiv, as a result of the Russian drone attack on the night of May 4, debris from downed aerial targets has been reported falling in various districts of the capital. This has led to fires in the city, according to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko.

According to the latest information, debris from downed Russian drones, resulting from air defense operations, has been detected in three districts of the capital: Obolonskyi, Sviatoshynkyi, and Shevchenkivskyi.

There is currently no official information regarding potential casualties; data is being clarified and confirmed.

According to the official, in the Obolonskyi district, a car caught fire due to falling debris. Additionally, in another location in the same district, seven cars are on fire.

"There was also a fire on the upper floors of a residential building," said the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.

He also reported that in the Sviatoshyn district, "as a result of falling UAV debris, a fire occurred in three private houses."

Air raid alert lifted, fire video released

At 00:21 AM Kyiv time, the air raid alert declared due to the drone attack was lifted in Kyiv.

Footage of a major fire on the upper floors of a high-rise residential building in the capital has been shared online. The video shows a fire truck responding to the scene to extinguish the blaze.

In addition, according to unconfirmed reports from local social media channels, a fire also broke out on the premises of the Dream Town shopping mall in Kyiv’s Obolonskyi district.

One casualty reported

In Kyiv, one person has sought medical assistance amid the drone attack, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko shared on his channel.

He clarified that the incident occurred in the Sviatoshynskyi district, and that "medical help was provided on-site."

Updated: children among those injured

At 1:50 AM Kyiv time, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, reported that two children were injured in the Obolonskyi district as a result of the drone attack. He clarified that the children are 14 and 17 years old.

Later, at 2:03 AM Kyiv time, Tkachenko added that three women in the Sviatoshynskyi district sought medical assistance due to acute stress reactions. They were treated at the scene.

According to Mayor Vitali Klitschko’s 2:10 AM Kyiv time update, a total of four residents sought medical help in Kyiv following the drone attack - three in the Sviatoshynskyi district and one in Obolonskyi. All received assistance on-site.

Explosions in Kyiv due to drone strikes

Air raid alerts were declared in several regions of Ukraine on the evening of May 3 due to the threat of kamikaze drone strikes from the Russians.

Later that night, several explosions were heard in Kyiv amid the drone attack. Local authorities provided updates on air defense operations in the capital. Russian drones were detected in various parts of the city.

Additionally, air defense units in Kyiv Oblast were activated in response to the threat of the Russian strike UAVs.

It was also reported that on the night of May 3-4, several explosions were heard in Cherkasy amid the drone attack. The head of the regional military administration reported on the air defense efforts.
