The operation of the Defense Forces in the Kursk region is completely unrelated to the 'energy' meeting in Qatar. At the same time, it is one of the points in Ukraine's victory plan, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the Ukraine 2024. Independence Forum.

"The Kursk operation and the meeting in Qatar are absolutely unrelated. The Kursk operation is not connected to any of the points of the peace formula. Is the Kursk operation related to the second Peace Summit? Yes. Because the Kursk operation is one of the points in Ukraine's victory plan," said the President.

'Energy' meeting

In mid-August, The Washington Post reported that this month Ukraine and Russia planned to send their delegations to Doha for negotiations aimed at reaching an agreement to halt strikes on energy facilities and energy infrastructure from both sides.

Later, the Minister of Energy, Herman Halushchenko, refuted rumors about allegedly failed negotiations with the enemy. He stated that Ukraine is not negotiating with terrorists and there have been no dialogues through intermediaries.

At the same time, Halushchenko mentioned that an online summit was held on August 22 regarding the third point of the Peace Formula, which concerns energy security.
