Kryvyi Rih under intense drone attack as multiple explosions rip through city

On the night of October 17, Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Kryvyi Rih. The city experienced numerous explosions, and the assault is ongoing, according to the Telegram post from the head of the city’s Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul.
“Kryvyi Rih. Massive Shahed attack. Over 10 explosions and more than 10 Shahed drones over the city. Air defense is active. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones,” the message read at 12:03 a.m. Kyiv time.
A few minutes later, the Ukrainian Air Forces reported that they continued to detect enemy strike drones in the Dnipropetrovsk region moving north of Kryvyi Rih.
Attacks on Kryvyi Rih
Recently, Russian forces have been regularly attacking Kryvyi Rih using drones, aerial bombs, and missiles.
On the night of October 8, the enemy struck the city and surrounding areas with drones and guided bombs. The attacks caused fires, damaged infrastructure, and resulted in casualties.
Additionally, on the night of October 10, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Kryvyi Rih. The attack damaged a private company building and sparked a fire. Three people were also injured.
