Kremlin spokesperson again presented with demands to start ceasefire

US President Donald Trump tried to use his influence on Ukraine to push it toward negotiations, but Kyiv is trying to avoid this, according to ABC News.
He mentioned that Ukraine agreed to announce a 30-day ceasefire, but Kyiv is not ready for negotiations.
"Ceasefire and negotiations were supported by President Putin, but he asked several questions. He said that right now, we have certain dynamics on the fronts. Russian troops are advancing and advancing in quite a confident way. So if we speak about a ceasefire, what are we going to do with the shipments of weapons coming every day from the US and European countries? Otherwise, it will be advantage for Ukraine," said Peskov.
According to him, the Kremlin hopes that the mediation role of US President Donald Trump will allow us to be more flexible, gain more political will, and become more politically savvy towards the Kyiv regime.
Russia's new 'ceasefire'
Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared a ceasefire from May 8 to May 11 in honor of Victory Day.
However, despite this, combat operations on the front lines have not stopped – the Russians continue their offensive on all fronts, and the number of attacks is increasing.
According to media reports, the US and the EU have proposed a new ceasefire for 30 days. In the event of the Kremlin's refusal, new harsh sanctions will be imposed against Russia.
