The Kremlin says that Moscow has not received any information about negotiations involving the United States, Ukraine, and European countries in Geneva, reports TASS, citing Putin's spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov.
“We have read the statements following the discussion in Geneva. Some adjustments have been made to the text of the peace plan that we saw earlier. But the Kremlin has not yet received any official information,” Peskov said.
He added that Moscow allegedly does not know what text of the plan was developed during these contacts and stressed that the Kremlin does not want to discuss the US plan for Ukraine through the media.
“We will wait. The dialogue is probably continuing, and some contacts will continue. So far, we have not received anything officially,” he added.
Negotiations on a peace plan for Ukraine
On November 20, the US presented a 28-point peace plan for Ukraine. According to the document, Ukraine must withdraw from Donbas, reduce its army, give up long-range weapons, and more.
On Sunday, November 23, consultations were held in Geneva between the US, Ukraine, and Europe to make the document more favorable for Kyiv.
Following the negotiations, Ukraine and the US prepared an updated and revised framework document on peace and agreed to continue intensive work on joint proposals in the coming days.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated later that Ukraine is currently at a critical point. There is a lot of noise in the media and a lot of political pressure.
