Kremlin reveals condition for possible Zelenskyy-Putin meeting

A meeting between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian leader Vladimir Putin is possible after Kyiv and Moscow agree on the draft memorandums, stated Putin’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, according to RIA Novosti.
"All the work that needs to be done to coordinate the memorandums is, in fact, the preparation for the meeting (between Zelenskyy and Putin - ed.)," Peskov told journalists when asked whether Moscow is ready to discuss the possibility of such a meeting.
Ukraine-Russia negotiations
Following Donald Trump’s return to the US presidency, Washington has intensified efforts to find a diplomatic resolution to the war in Ukraine. The US has held separate meetings with delegations from both Kyiv and Moscow, during which the idea of an unconditional ceasefire was discussed. However, Russia immediately rejected the proposal.
Despite this, dialogue between Ukraine and Russia has continued. So far, two rounds of negotiations have taken place. During the second round, on May 16, the sides reached an agreement on a major prisoner exchange, 1000 for 1000, which was carried out in three stages between May 23 and 25.
Meanwhile, President Zelenskyy has approved the composition of the Ukrainian delegation, which is scheduled to meet with the Russian side today in Istanbul.
