The Kremlin praised the performance of Russian air defense systems during the attack on an oil refinery in Moscow on June 18, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"Drone attacks are indeed continuing. Appropriate measures are being taken to deal with the consequences," Peskov told reporters while commenting on the overnight attack on Moscow.
He also claimed that the performance of Russia's air defense systems remained "high," despite the circumstances.

Today, June 19, attacks on Moscow continued. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin claimed that about 35 drones had allegedly been shot down.
According to him, emergency crews are working at the sites where "debris fell."
As a reminder, on June 18, Moscow and the surrounding region came under a massive Ukrainian drone attack — one of the largest in recent months.
As a result of the strike, the oil refinery sustained significant damage, while smoke blanketed the city for nearly a full day.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the attack on Russia and urged Russians to "bring Putin back to reality," warning that otherwise Moscow would continue to burn.
