Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov claims that the United States has made Moscow a series of "interesting" proposals to end the war in Ukraine.

"The United States has expressed a number of quite interesting, I would even say useful, thoughts and proposals," said Putin's foreign policy aide.

At the same time, he added that these proposals have not yet been implemented. Ushakov also stated that the United States could "pressure" Kyiv.

"The Americans could, so to speak, actually put pressure on and influence Kyiv," he said.

US demands Ukraine pull troops out of Donbas

Recently, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy publicly stated that the United States had set a condition for Ukraine. According to him, Washington requires Ukrainian forces to withdraw from the Donbas in exchange for security guarantees.

The president emphasized that this step would endanger the security of both Ukraine and Europe, as it would hand over strong defensive positions in the region to Russia.

Later, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called Zelenskyy's statement that Washington offered security guarantees in exchange for a Ukrainian withdrawal from Donbas "a lie." According to Rubio, the guarantees would not take effect until the war is over.

In addition, on March 28, Zelenskyy reiterated the point during a press briefing, adding that "most of the iceberg is not visible" and stressing that it had only revealed a small part.
