King Charles diagnosed with cancer
The 75-year-old King of Great Britain, Charles III, was diagnosed with cancer, according to the press service of the Buckingham Palace.
According to reports, the British King's cancer was discovered after additional examinations, which were ordered because of a "separate problem" during a recent operation for a benign enlargement of the prostate gland.
"His majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Throughout this period, his majesty will continue to undertake state business and official paperwork as usual," Buckingham Palace said.
They did not disclose the details of the diagnosis, but emphasized that Charles III is positive about the treatment "and is looking forward to returning to the full performance of state duties as soon as possible."
"His majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer," Buckingham Palace added.
Operation of Charles III
Last month Buckingham Palace announced that the King of Great Britain, Charles III, would be hospitalized for prostate treatment. As noted, the 75-year-old monarch will undergo a "corrective procedure" due to an enlarged prostate.
