North Korea claims it conducted tests of a new launch system for multipurpose light rockets and a tactical cruise missile volley fire system based on artificial intelligence (AI), according to the Korean Central News Agency.

According to the agency, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un observed the tests. He positively assessed their results.

During the tests, the power of the warhead of a special-purpose tactical ballistic missile, the reliability of the navigation system of a 240-mm rocket projectile, as well as the accuracy of a tactical cruise missile with an AI-based control system were tested.

It is noted that the new cruise missile is capable of striking targets at a distance of up to 100 km with high precision.

Kim Jong Un stated that the current international situation requires the constant strengthening and modernization of the army, and that the North Korean government's course toward developing nuclear and conventional weapons remains unchanged.

North Korea increased its capabilities for producing nuclear weapons

North Korea had significantly increased its capabilities for producing nuclear weapons. According to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), increased activity has been observed at the country's nuclear facilities.

In particular, the pace of development of Pyongyang's arsenal allows it to produce around 20 nuclear warheads annually.

This is taking place against the backdrop of Kim Jong Un's new military strategy, which envisions the simultaneous development of both nuclear and conventional armed forces of North Korea.
