Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, regarding yesterday's attack on Kherson by Russian forces.

He mentioned that one police officer had died – Lieutenant Ihor Misiuna from the Kirovohrad Regional Police Department. Zelenskyy expressed condolences to the family and relatives. Four people were injured, two of whom were police officers, and they have received necessary assistance.

According to the head of state, all services are currently working on restoring the power supply in Kherson.

"Yesterday, 70% of the city was left without electricity. Critical infrastructure has been switched to generators. Gradually, normal operation is being restored. Gas supply to Kherson has been restored," said the president.

Recall that yesterday, Russian troops had been heavily shelling Kherson and its region. It is known that within a day, the occupiers attacked the region 161 times with various types of weapons. In Kherson, the enemy fired 90 shells.

As a result of the shelling, three people were killed, and 16 were wounded.

In particular, the Russian army struck an evacuation train in Kherson. Several employees of Ukrzaliznytsia were injured, and the station and rolling stock were damaged.
