On the night of June 9, the Kharkiv region came under a massive enemy drone attack. In Chuhuiv, three people were killed; in Kharkiv, fires broke out in two districts, and about ten people were injured, according to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov.

Chuhuiv: five dead

The enemy struck the city of Chuhuiv. As a result of the attack, three people were killed. Another man, 34 years old, suffered an acute stress reaction. Fires broke out in the city; all emergency services are working at the scene.

The death toll in Chuhuiv has risen. According to Mayor Halyna Minaieva, five people were killed in the missile attack, and three more were wounded. About eight multi‑story buildings and over ten private houses were damaged.

Kharkiv: Fires in two districts

Strikes were recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts. As a result of the attack:

  • At least 10 cars caught fire;
  • The roof of a municipal utility building is burning;
  • About ten people were injured.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a drone also hit the roof of a five‑story building – windows in the building across the street were blown out. Emergency service units and ambulance crews are working at the impact sites.

Enemy drones continue to be detected over the city. Residents are urged to remain in safe places until the all‑clear.

On Sunday, June 8, a Russian drone struck a Nova Poshta depot in Kharkiv – the building caught fire and partially collapsed. The same day, in the village of Chystovodivka, an enemy drone hit a police service vehicle while another drone was being neutralized – a police explosives technician was killed, and four others were injured.
