On the night of October 21, Russian forces launched aerial bombs at Kharkiv. The shelling damaged more than a dozen buildings, and casualties have been reported, according to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov’s Telegram.

According to the mayor’s posts, at least four explosions were heard in the city, with impacts in two districts.

“There is preliminary information about hits in the private sector of the Industrialnyi district. A fire broke out at the site of the enemy strike, and there are casualties,” Terekhov wrote.

It was initially reported that four people were injured, all suffering acute stress reactions. According to the latest information, the number of casualties has risen to nine.

Later, the mayor clarified that enemy aerial bombs damaged at least 15 private homes in the Industrial District. In addition, a strike was confirmed in the Nemyshlianskyi district. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed.

Attack on Kharkiv

Russian forces have recently been attacking Kharkiv very frequently, using various weapons, including drones, missiles, and aerial bombs.

For example, late on October 5, the enemy carried out a massive drone strike on the city. At least 15 drones were used, damaging houses in the private sector and causing casualties.
