Russian nighttime attack on Kharkiv lasted for an hour and a half. The terrorists struck with missiles and UAVs, targeting residential buildings, businesses, and more, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reports.

According to Terekhov, the attack, which hit the Novobavarskyi district, lasted from 2:29 a.m. to 3:57 a.m. local time. Russian forces launched two missiles and nine Shahed drones against the city. One of the drones failed to detonate, but the rest hit their targets.

In particular, Russian troops hit civilian infrastructure, businesses, residential homes, a car repair shop, and a park. In total, seven locations in Kharkiv were affected:

  • a workshop of a civilian enterprise;
  • another civilian enterprise, where a large fire broke out. A 30-year-old man was injured;
  • a car service station caught fire;
  • a private house, garage, and outbuilding burned down. Seven nearby homes were also damaged;
  • the roof of a warehouse was damaged;
  • a drone struck the ground, burning grass over 600 square meters and damaging the power grid;
  • an unexploded Shahed drone was found.

"Furthermore, one of the UAVs fell in a park in the Novobavarskyi district of the city and did not explode. Bomb disposal experts defused the Russian drone," the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office reported.

Russian shelling of Ukraine

Russia continues to systematically shell Ukrainian territory, deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure. The enemy employs a wide range of weapons - artillery, missiles, guided aerial bombs, and combat drones.

Russian troops resort to drone attacks every night. For example, during the night of June 2 to 3, over 110 drones attacked Ukraine from five directions.
