Attack on Ukraine, July 12

Russia launched at least 10 strikes on Kharkiv overnight on July 12, using eight combat drones and two guided aerial bombs.

The main strike targeted a former industrial site that has been out of operation for several years, according to Mayor Ihor Terekhov and Regional Governor Oleh Syniehubov.

One Shahed-type drone struck a critical infrastructure facility. The attack damaged residential buildings, shattered windows, destroyed vehicles, and disrupted power lines. Two men, aged 33 and 55, were injured and hospitalized.

At the same time, western Ukraine also experienced the effects of Russian attacks. In Lviv, a drone strike destroyed the entrance of an apartment building and caused a gas leak. A fire broke out on the roof of a non-residential building in the Zaliznychnyi district.

In Lutsk, a massive Russian strike almost completely destroyed a residential house and damaged several other structures. The situation remains tense, with recovery efforts ongoing.

More details on the overnight attack can be found in the RBC-Ukraine report.
