On the night of May 31, the Russian Federation again struck Kharkiv. The Russian army targeted residential buildings with S-300 missiles.

According to the prosecutor's office, there were 5 hits recorded in the city. The Russian army aimed exclusively at civilian infrastructure in the Novobavarskyi district of the city. As a result of the shelling, a five-story building was destroyed there, and another 20 residential buildings were damaged. A private enterprise was also destroyed.

According to preliminary data, three people were killed as a result of the shelling. One of the victims was a security guard of a private enterprise who was on the street at the time of the attack. Another 23 people were injured, including two children - a 12-year-old boy and girl.

Such tactics by the occupiers are aimed at causing the highest possible number of casualties and injuries. During the second shelling, they usually target medics, police, and rescuers.

The latest attack was no exception. According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, the Russian army launched a second strike when medics and rescuers were already working at the scene of the tragedy.

Later it became known about the first casualties as a result of the shelling, as well as that among the victims there are children.
