Japanese Foreign Minister arrives in Ukraine for the first time since start of full-scale war
The head of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hayashi Yoshimasa, has arrived in Ukraine. This is his first visit since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, according to the press service of the Japanese Embassy in Ukraine.
As reported by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during his visit to Kyiv, Toshimitsu Hayashi and his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba will discuss Ukraine's participation in the international community's efforts to "put an end to Russian aggression as quickly as possible."
The head of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs is accompanied by leaders of Japanese companies, including Hiroshi Mikitani, the founder and CEO of Rakuten Group.
"We hope that these companies will have the opportunity to listen to and communicate with the needs of the Ukrainian side for recovery and reconstruction, which will mark the beginning of deeper involvement of Japanese companies in future assistance for Ukraine's reconstruction," the press service added.
