Italy extends military aid to Ukraine for another year
The Italian government has adopted a resolution allowing the country to provide military support to Ukraine until the end of 2024. The Ministry of Defense of Italy announced this, reports The Guardian.
"Italy’s cabinet has passed a law decree that allows it to continue supplying Ukraine with 'means, materials and equipment,'" the statement reads.
The deliveries will reportedly include weapons, generators, and everything necessary to support military operations for the defense of unarmed civilians.
The Ministry of Defense adds that the government will request the support of the Italian Parliament for this decision.
Italy's aid
Italy recently announced its preparation of a new package of military aid for Ukraine in May. This supply of arms was intended to be the seventh in line.
Italy's Minister of Defense, Guido Crosetto, recently stated that Italy expressed intentions to provide Ukraine with an eighth package of military assistance. The country is currently considering the equipment that can be sent to Kyiv.
