Italy has officially approved its 12th package of military assistance for Ukraine, according to Italy’s Official Gazette.

Based on the decree signed by Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto and approved by the heads of the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Economy, the Ukrainian government will receive another batch of military equipment, materiel, and supplies.

For security reasons, the full list of transferred items, compiled by Italy’s General Staff, is classified and not disclosed publicly.

The decree stipulates that the equipment and materials will be provided free of charge and written off from Italy’s inventory.

The description of the weapons will be prepared solely for accounting purposes, and the delivery timelines must be as short as possible.

Italy's assistance to Ukraine

Earlier, Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto had announced the 12th package of military assistance for Ukraine.

"As far as Ukraine is concerned, our position remains unchanged. We continue to help Kyiv with everything we can," Crosetto said.

Italy has been supporting Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion. The country has repeatedly extended its authorization to supply military assistance to Ukraine.

In particular, it was previously reported that the Italian government backed the extension of the authorization for supplying military aid to Ukraine. Parliamentary approval was required to continue weapons deliveries.

Following this, Italy delivered its 11th package of military assistance to Ukraine, which included, among other items, the Italian variant of the M113 tracked armored personnel carrier, the VCC-2 Camilino.
