'It will be too late': Blinken urges US Congress to expedite aid to Ukraine
The US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, urged Congress to approve the aid package to Ukraine, stating that "it will be too late". He made this statement at a briefing in Italy, according to The Guardian.
Answering a question about US aid to Ukraine, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the “most important thing is getting this aid voted and moving it forward.”
“Is it too late? No. If it happens now, it’s not too late. If it doesn’t happen or takes a lot more time, there is a real risk that yes, it will be too late,” he said.
At the same time, Blinken said that a delay in the vote would be a real risk.
