Tyson Fury, one of the most prominent heavyweight champions in boxing history, has announced his retirement from professional boxing following his defeat to Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk, according to the Briton's Instagram account, where the boxer shared his video statement.

"I'd like to announce my retirement from boxing," Fury said.

He accompanied his statement with a caption:

"Thanks, it's been a blast. Thanks to everyone who helped out along the way! Happy new year. Jesus is king. Now and forever," Tyson noted in his post.

It is worth noting that the Gypsy King has repeatedly announced his retirement, only to return to the ring later. Therefore, the question of the final end of his boxing career remains open.

It should also be noted that only recently the boxing world has been actively discussing the Fury-Joshua fight. It was supposed to take place in 2025 at Wembley Stadium in London.
