It is extremely important for Ukraine to maintain the Ramstein format. This will help secure assistance and support from partner countries, according to a statement from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a press conference with the President of the European Investment Bank, Nadia Calviño.

"As for the Ramstein format, first and foremost, it was very important to preserve the Ramstein format, which includes over 50 countries. For us, the main thing is the result — to keep these countries — and we have kept them. We will see how it proceeds during this period, and we'll see what happens next, but we expect representation from all countries, including the US, though we will assess based on the results," Zelenskyy emphasized.

He explained that the main outcome of Ramstein is, without a doubt, assistance to Ukraine.

"It is absolutely clear — it’s the number of aid packages through which our partners support Ukraine," he stressed.

New Ramstein meeting

On February 6, Politico reported that a meeting in the Ramstein format regarding Ukraine will take place on February 12.

Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi stated that Ukraine is thoroughly preparing for the upcoming Ramstein meeting. According to him, over the past years during the full-scale war, this format has proven its effectiveness.

It is currently known that the new Ramstein meeting will be held with the new US Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth. During the event, he is expected to confirm the commitment of the new US President, Donald Trump, to ending the war in Ukraine through diplomatic means.
