ISW claim about Russian advance near Kozacha Lopan denied by Ukraine

Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported Russian gains near Kozacha Lopan in Kharkiv region, but local officials called this claim false, said Derhachi military administration head Viacheslav Zadorenko.
Zadorenko said that amid rumors about Russian advances east of Kozacha Lopan, he spoke with the commander of a battalion of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade. The commander completely denied such a claim.
He clarified that several Russian sabotage groups tried to cross the border with Ukraine in the area of the Derhachi community. However, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated the enemy near the approaches to the Hoptivka checkpoint.
According to Zadorenko, the Derhachi community has 16 kilometers of border with Russia, and in this area Russians constantly conduct sabotage and reconnaissance activities. But the enemy has no success.
Also yesterday, on August 28, fighters of the 3rd battalion of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade managed to destroy a Russian Gvozdika howitzer, which for several weeks had been covering the raids of Russian saboteurs. The howitzer was destroyed with the help of FPV drones.
