On Thursday, July 31, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck Hezbollah’s largest facility for producing precision-guided missiles, located in Lebanon, stated Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, The Jerusalem Post.

The Israeli military confirmed airstrikes on Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon, near the Israeli border, as well as on targets in the Bekaa Valley, approximately 100 kilometers to the north.

The missile factory had previously been targeted during the escalation between Israel and Hezbollah in the fall of 2024. According to intelligence, Hezbollah recently began restoring the site to resume the production of precision-guided missiles.

These types of missiles pose a significant threat, as they are more likely to evade Israel’s air defense systems and strike civilian or strategic targets with higher accuracy.

"Any attempt by the terror organization to rehabilitate, to reconstitute itself, or to threaten (Israel - ed.) will be answered with uncompromising power," Katz said.

Israel’s war with Hamas

Israel is also continuing military operations against Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip.

Recently, the IDF announced daily pauses in fighting to allow the creation of humanitarian corridors for aid delivery into Gaza.
