Israeli media have revealed the codename of the operation in which Iranian nuclear scientists were eliminated, according to reports by Jewish News and N12.
According to Amit Segal, chief political analyst at Israeli TV channel N12, the Israeli operation to eliminate Iranian nuclear scientists was codenamed "Operation Narnia."
As Jewish News pointed out, the name partially echoes the broader Israeli military campaign, known as "Rising Lion."
Narnia is a fictional fantasy world created by Anglo-Irish author C.S. Lewis in his book series The Chronicles of Narnia. The most famous of these books is The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which was also adapted into a film.
Israeli operation
During the night of June 13, Israel launched an attack on Iran, striking around 100 targets. The stated goal of the operation was to disable key elements of Iran's nuclear infrastructure, as well as ballistic missile production facilities and other military sites.
By June 15, it was reported that at least 14 Iranian nuclear scientists had been eliminated as a result of the Israeli strikes.

Israeli military officials claim that the scientists who were eliminated were actively advancing Iran's efforts to obtain a nuclear bomb.
It is also known that Russian nuclear scientists are currently present in Iran. Last night, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the Kremlin allegedly has an agreement with Israeli leadership not to target Russian specialists working on the Bushehr nuclear power plant.
However, in a comment to RBC-Ukraine today, Zion Alon, leader of the Israeli political party A-Hazon, said that Russia would be wise to evacuate its scientists.
According to him, regardless of nationality, anyone assisting Iran is considered an enemy of Israel.
