Israel launches extensive strikes on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces have announced the commencement of widespread strikes on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, according to the IDF's Telegram channel.
It is noted that more detailed information will be provided later.
Additionally, alerts were sounded in the border towns of Sasa and Netua in Galilee due to incoming rocket threats.
Israeli and Hezbollah shelling
In the past 24 hours, Israeli forces have attacked a command center of Hamas in the Gaza Strip and shot down a drone that was traveling from Iraq through Syria toward Israel.
On the morning of Sunday, September 22, Hezbollah launched approximately 20 projectiles at Israel. Most of the targets were intercepted by air defense systems, but debris from the intercepted missiles caused fires.
On Saturday, September 21, the Israeli army targeted Hezbollah positions in Lebanon. In response, Hezbollah fired 25 missiles at Israel.
Concerns are growing in the US over the possibility of a large-scale war between Israel and Hezbollah.
