Israel expects hostage release from Gaza to begin early Monday morning

Israel expects the release of hostages held in Gaza to begin on Monday, October 13, between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM, reports The Times of Israel.
The Red Cross will notify Israel two hours before the hostages are freed.
Shosh Bedrosian, spokeswoman for the Office of the Prime Minister, emphasized that Israel is prepared to receive the hostages even if they are released earlier.
She also said that Israel will begin releasing Palestinian prisoners only after confirming that all hostages have returned safely.
Plan to end the war in Gaza
Last week, US President Donald Trump unveiled a 20-point plan to resolve the Gaza conflict. It proposes the creation of an international Peace Council, which would oversee an "apolitical Palestinian committee" responsible for the daily administration of Gaza. Trump and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair will lead the council.
Indirect talks between Israel and Hamas began in Egypt on October 6, with Egypt, the US, and Qatar acting as mediators. On October 8, Trump announced that the parties had signed the first phase of his peace plan, which includes the release of hostages and the withdrawal of Israeli troops to an agreed-upon line.
RBC-Ukraine previously reported that Donald Trump will visit Israel at the beginning of next week at the invitation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
