Israel destroyed Hamas command post located in school in Gaza Strip
The Israeli army has destroyed a Hamas terrorist command center in the Gaza Strip, which was located in a former educational facility, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
It was noted that the terrorist command and control center was located in a building that previously served as the Halima al-Sa'diyya School in northern Gaza.
Hamas terrorists used this center for planning and executing attacks against IDF forces and Israel.
"Prior to the strike, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including the use of precise munitions, aerial surveillance and additional intelligence," the report states.
At the same time, Palestinian media reported several casualties from the attack.
According to the IDF, in recent months, dozens of airstrikes have been carried out against Hamas targets located in schools and other sites used by militants as shelters for civilians.
The killing of Israeli hostages
Recently, Hamas terrorists killed six Israeli hostages in tunnels in the Gaza Strip. The executions occurred as Israeli forces were approaching the militants' location.
In response to this attack, large-scale protests erupted in Israel. People are demanding that the Netanyahu government swiftly negotiate a ceasefire agreement and secure the release of the Hamas hostages.
The incident has cast doubt on the prospects for a swift ceasefire agreement and hostage exchange between Israel and the Palestinian group.
