Israel denies reports of Ukraine ban on Hasidic pilgrimage to Uman, Axios says

Israel has dismissed reports that Ukraine imposed a ban on Hasidic pilgrimage to Uman for Rosh Hashanah, according to Axios journalist Barak Ravid.
Ravid said Israel's Foreign Ministry spokesman Oren Marmorstein confirmed that Ukraine's policy on the arrival of worshipers remains unchanged.
Marmorstein noted that there had been no alterations regarding the entry of pilgrims for the holiday.
Pilgrimage to Uman
Every year, tens of thousands of people travel to Uman for the Jewish New Year to visit the grave of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, a 19th-century Hasidic sage. This year, Rosh Hashanah falls on September 22.
Last year, Ukraine urged Hasidic pilgrims to refrain from traveling to the country. Still, tens of thousands made the trip, entering Ukraine through the border with Moldova.
In September last year, authorities in Uman agreed to host thousands of pilgrims, but with restrictions.
Earlier, The Times of Israel reported that due to the full-scale war and constant Russian attacks, Ukraine had decided to ban the annual pilgrimage to Uman.
