Israel carries out new airstrikes on Beirut
On the night of October 2, following Iran's missile strike on Israel, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched airstrikes against Hezbollah targets in Beirut, reports CNN.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) promised to release further details of their operation later.
Before this, the IDF urged residents of several neighborhoods and homes in the southern suburbs of Beirut to evacuate. Lebanese citizens were warned they were near dangerous sites belonging to Hezbollah, against which decisive actions will soon be taken by the Defense Forces.
On the night of October 1, southern areas of Beirut were hit by at least six strikes from Israeli aviation during an operation against Hezbollah. Several buildings were destroyed as a result of the bombardment. Lebanon's Ministry of Health reported that 95 people were killed in the Israeli strikes on September 30.
Additionally, on the night of October 1, Israel launched a ground operation within Lebanese territory. The IDF stated that Israeli ground forces were operating with the support of air and artillery strikes targeting military sites in Lebanon.
According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, in the past 24 hours, 55 people have died and 156 have been injured due to Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon.

Iranian attack on Israel
According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Iran launched approximately 180 ballistic missiles in its strike against Israel on October 1. Israeli military officials stated that the air defense system was effective, although there were isolated hits in central Israel and several additional strikes in the southern part of the country.
