Israel attacks air bases in Syria with missiles: Strategic targets destroyed

On the evening of April 2, the Israeli army struck aviation bases in the suburbs of Syria's capital, Damascus, to eliminate threats to the civilian population, according to the Israel Defense Forces and The Times of Israel.
The strikes were carried out over the past few hours. The military targeted military facilities remaining at the Syrian airbases Hama and Tiyas (T4), as well as other military infrastructure sites in the Damascus area. These posed a threat to Israeli civilians.
According to military sources, the strikes at the mentioned airbases were aimed at runways, fuel storage, and radar systems.
According to Syrian media, the Barzeh research center in the suburbs of Damascus was also targeted.
Strikes on military targets in Syria
Since the removal of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad from power and the rise of the leader of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham group, Ahmed al-Sharaa, Israel's army has regularly targeted airbases and military installations in Syria to prevent weapons from falling into the hands of hostile forces.
On the night of March 26, Israeli forces attacked facilities at the Syrian airbases Palmyra and Tiyas (T4).
On March 21, Israeli aviation struck targets at the Syrian Tadmur and Tiyas (T4) airbases.
Recently, a new government has been formed in Syria, which is expected to transform the country after decades of rule by the Assad dynasty.
