Israeli army destroyed Hamas launch pad and struck military bases in Syria

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) destroyed an illegally positioned Hamas launch pad in the northern Gaza Strip and also struck targets at two military bases in Syria, according to a report from the IDF's official Telegram channel.
The military struck a Hamas rocket launcher that had previously fired two projectiles towards Israeli territory on Friday, March 21, in the Al-Furqan area in the northern Gaza Strip.
It was noted that the terrorists intentionally positioned the launcher near a humanitarian zone in Al-Furqan.

Before the strike, numerous measures were taken to minimize the risk of civilian casualties, including the use of aerial surveillance, additional intelligence data, and precision-guided munitions.
Additionally, the Israeli military carried out strikes on military-strategic targets located at the Syrian military bases Tadmor and Tiyas (T4).
Escalation in the Middle East
Since January 19, Israel had been in a formal ceasefire with the Palestinian group Hamas.
Recently, both sides had planned a second round of negotiations; however, the militants refused to release Israeli hostages, and fighting resumed in the following days.
On Thursday, March 20, Israeli military forces dismantled Hamas positions in the Shabura area of Rafah.
Israel's Defense Minister, Israel Katz, did not rule out the expansion of the buffer zone along the Gaza Strip border if the terrorists do not release the hostages.
