Is fall detox worth it: Ukrainian fitness coach Mandziak gives clear answer

Autumn is often associated with renewing the body after vacations. On social media and in the press, detox diets and juice programs are actively promoted. But in reality, they don’t make sense, Ukrainian fitness coach Viktor Mandziak explains.
What’s wrong with detox diets
According to the expert, there is no reason to do a detox in autumn or any other season.
“You don’t need to do a juice or smoothie detox in autumn, summer, spring, or winter. It’s an absolutely silly idea,” Mandziak emphasizes.
The fitness coach explains that the human body has natural detoxification systems that work constantly.
“The main detoxifying organ is the liver. The kidneys perform this function as well, removing toxins from the body. Toxins are also excreted through the skin and in stool. The body cleans itself perfectly well. It doesn’t need help. The main thing is not to interfere,” he explains.
According to Mandziak, detox programs are only profitable for those who sell them.
“The idea isn’t completely silly for people who make money from it, by convincing naive people that their bodies are dirty and they need to drink special smoothies,” the fitness coach notes.
What detox is and why it’s promoted
Detox diets involve restricting regular food in favor of juices, smoothies, or special supplements that supposedly remove toxins from the body.
These programs are actively promoted as a way to “cleanse” after overeating or a vacation.
However, there is no scientific evidence of their effectiveness. Instead, they are a profitable business for those selling the “magic recipes.”
